Coach Mori begins his second season as the Varsity Girls head coach at Hillsdale and his 15th overall season coaching at the high school level. In his first year at Hillsdale, the Knights achieved a 23-6 overall record, reached the CCS Semifinals and advanced to the State Championships.  Hillsdale won two games in NorCal’s & got to the quarterfinals in State, the farthest Hillsdale has ever advanced.  Prior to Hillsdale, Dan coached the Varsity Girls for seven seasons at Carlmont, earning CCS qualification every year.  He led Carlmont to an overall record of 123-66, including one PAL championship.  Dan also coached boys basketball at St. Francis, in the ultra-tough WCAL, achieving a 15-6 record.  From 2007-2012, Dan coached five seasons for Menlo-Atherton's JV team, compiling a record of 93-26, including back to back 20-4 seasons in his last two years at M-A.  His teams won three PAL championships & placed second in the other two years.  He also assisted the M-A Varsity program over those same seasons.  Dan's overall high school coaching record is 254-104.  Dan has also coached youth & high school age teams with the Foster City Flyers, San Mateo JYO, Notre Dame Elementary/Middle School & in summer leagues.  Dan is a graduate of UC Berkeley & resides in Belmont with his wife Carol.  They have one daughter, Tiffany, who lives in Huntington Beach & is a Physical Therapist.
