Coach Nicolette is one of two inaugural HHS Girls Lacrosse coaches, starting with the inception of the program in 2019 as an Assistant Varsity Coach. Since stepping into the role of Varsity Head Coach in 2022, the program has achieved an undefeated season, clinched a division championship, moved up a division in their league, and grown to include a JV team. A longtime soccer player, Nicolette first started playing lacrosse her sophomore year of high school. She credits her love for the sport to her best friend (Coach Caitlin!), without whom she never would have been convinced to try out. In addition to coaching at Hillsdale, Nicolette coaches year-round with RIZE, a local girls lacrosse club. Nicolette is passionate about working with athletes at all skill levels and growing the women’s side of the game on the West Coast.

Coach Caitlin joined the program in 2022 as an Assistant Varsity Coach during the team’s 4th season. Her contributions significantly helped the team achieve an undefeated league record and division championship. The following season, Caitlin stepped up to the role of JV Head Coach and guided a team of brand new players to a 2nd place finish in league play. Caitlin’s love of lacrosse began at 10 years old playing club with Coyotes and continuing through all 4 years at Burlingame High School. She is looking forward to her 3rd season with the Hillsdale Knights, 2nd season as JV Head Coach, and supporting the continued growth of women’s lacrosse in the Bay Area!

Coach Jon was hired at the start of the 2023 season as the program expanded to include a JV team. He stepped in as our Goalie Coach, working with two brand new goalies on both teams and supporting their success in a highly specialized position. As a former SMUHSD high school athlete, Jon always had an interest in lacrosse but was hindered by limited opportunities to play. As an adult, Jon pursues his passion for lacrosse by playing in a local competitive men’s league. Playing competitively gives Jon the opportunity to grow his understanding of the sport and bolster his coaching career with real-game experience.

According to Coach Aram, “sports can teach us how to win & lose with class, to sacrifice, to get along with others towards common goals, and to lay everything on the line for our team. If we can learn how to do all this for fun, we can do it in life.” Aram learned these and other valuable lessons from his time on the men’s lacrosse roster at St. Mary’s College. Throughout his coaching career, he’s done his best to instill these values in every young athlete he’s had the privilege to work with. A ‘96 HHS alum, Aram most definitely “bleeds blue” and is very excited to be a part of another great Hillsdale program. Go Knights!!!
