This is Dwight 6th season as Head Girls Varsity Volleyball Coach and his 5th season as Head Boys Varsity Volleyball Coach at Hillsdale High School. He graduated from Madera High School in Madera, California where he was a 3-sport varsity athlete in football, basketball and track. He was a High School All-American in Track and Field in 1975 and 1976. He attended and earned his B.S. in Industrial Arts from Cal Poly State University in San Luis Obispo where he played college football for four years.

Dwight started playing volleyball in elementary school and started coaching volleyball in 1983. He started coaching competitive recreation coed volleyball teams for adults where his team won 9 competitive coed recreation titles and 1 competitive coed recreation championship title. Dwight’s girls volleyball coaching career started with junior high athletes spans 22 plus years (including coaching track and field). Dwight coach elementary school volleyball at St Gregory School in San Mateo for 21 years where his teams won 14 league titles and 6 division championships titles. He also provides individual volleyball conditioning and training for junior high, high school and college students in preparation for their school volleyball season.

Also he has coached club volleyball for 9 years with Red Rock Volleyball Club and Payes Volleyball Club. Dwight has coached 14’s and 15’s and earned Bid to Junior Nationals 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2019. He will be coaching again for Red Rock Volleyball Club for the 2020 club season.

Dwight enjoys coaching volleyball and staying fit. When he is not coaching he enjoys spending time with family and friends.
