Lesley Chiang has been coaching in Hillsdale’s aquatic program since 2019.  She joined the water polo program as Varsity Coach in 2022 and has been heading the swim team since 2020.  Lesley graduated from Hillsdale High School, class of 2012, and spent a lot of time in the pool, playing on the Varsity Girls Water Polo Team for 3 years and swimming on the Varsity Swim Team for 4 years.  She received her Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley and currently works at AppDynamics as a software engineer.  Her love for the pool brought her back to Hillsdale, where she hopes to inspire the next generation of swimmers and water polo players. Lesley is excited to be returning for another season and looks forward to leading the team to continued success.  

Jina Button is a 23 year veteran Physical Education teacher and coach.  She is one of the 9th grade Physical Education teachers here at Hillsdale.  Jina has been coaching at both the Varsity and Junior Varsity levels in our girls water polo program for the past 5 years.   Jina's enthusiasm for the sport and dedication to her team ignite a competitive and positive spirit among her athletes.  Jina graduated from St. Ignatius in San Francisco and went on to attend the University of Dayton in Ohio before completing her master's degree at Notre Dame de Namur University.
