Your Hillsdale Fighting Knights had an incredible Fall season filled with many great highlights, personal bests and school records! At the P. A. L. Championships, our Varsity girls took fourth and the Varsity boys sixth and as a result, both teams qualified for the CCS Championships for the fourth consecutive year. A feat no other Senior class at Hillsdale has accomplished. Also at the Championships, our Frosh/Soph boys and girls took 3rd in their races, which bodes well for the future. Naia Hsieh, Ashlyn Kelly and Kyle Fukumoto took home All-League honors.  

 

Moving on to the CCS championships, the highlight was Naia's 3rd place individual finish, that helped to pull the girls team to a 3rd place team in the Division 3 race. Her individual time set the Hillsdale All-Time mark at Crystal and was a key component of the girls team setting a school record for the fastest aggregate team time at Crystal Springs. The boys team took 5th in D-3, with Kyle setting a personal best on the course and the boys team setting the second fastest aggregate HHS team time at Crystal Springs. Naia's 3rd place individual finish qualified her for the CIF State Championships in Clovis. One final team award. Our Varsity boys received the CCS Team Scholastic Award for their performance in the classroom for the 2nd consecutive year. 

 

The CIF State Championship meet was the icing on the cake for this season. With her second trip to Clovis in three years, Naia's 25th place finish in the D-3 race was the highest finish for a Hillsdale athlete ever at the State competition. Her time of 18:23 establishes a new Hillsdale record for the Woodward Park circuit and is currently the 10th fastest time at the CIF meet by a PAL athlete.  A great way to close out a stellar season.
